On Tuesday, August 5, the Second Sectoral Seminar "Quantum Synergy 2025: Academia-Industry Meeting for Innovation in Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Supercomputing" was held, organized by CienciaV2030 at the USM Central Campus in Valparaíso.

On this occasion, Javiera Alejandra Canales Rojas, Senior Data Scientist & Quantum Algorithms Researcher, highlighted the cross-cutting importance of supercomputing and Artificial Intelligence, along with the vast present and future potential of quantum technologies in industry. During her presentation, she showed specific use cases being developed at the coreDevX Advanced Technologies Laboratory, such as Quantum Machine Learning (QML) algorithms and proprietary Post-Quantum Cybersecurity (PQC) solutions that have been developed in the laboratory, among others. 🔬

The seminar also featured a panel discussion, where Dr. Carla Hermann Avigliano, Professor in the Department of Physics, FCFM-UCH and Researcher at the Millennium Institute for Research in Optics (MIRO), and Dr. Stephen Walborn, Chief Technology Officer at Seque Quantum, exchanged ideas and opinions on the relevance and opportunities that this technology presents for Chile and the world.
