We research, learn, teach, and innovate.

We are driven by a spirit of research and continuous learning. We exist to meet the ongoing need of large organizations to adopt cutting-edge technologies and practices in the field of information technology. We are both a consulting firm and an IT research center. In short, we are a science and technology- based company that is 100% privately owned.

Javier Urrutia

Founder & CEO

“For large organizations seeking to innovate efficiently, the key lies in identifying and partnering with science- and technology-based companies. These partnerships provide them with the specialized operational capacity needed to implement improvements, drive innovation, and adopt cutting-edge technologies, while simultaneously fostering a genuine culture of innovationwithin their own organizations .”

“My experience has shown me that it is possible to manage development and innovation teams more effectively and create technological solutions that significantly outperform those used by most companies in their IT departments. Our advantage is based on two key pillars: the experience and global vision we have developed over the years, and the scientific and technological rigor that characterizes each of our projects.”

2014

In October, after renting a small shared office, a couple of classmates from the UAI Master’s in Innovation program launched their startup, and coreDevX was born as a consulting firm and research center specializing in information technology.

2015

Before long, coreDevX had secured more domestic clients, reinvesting its profits to improve its facilities and infrastructure, and officially opened its headquarters in Chile.

2017

A couple of years later, having maintained steady growth, we opened our first TechHunter office in San Francisco. It was coreDevX’s first office dedicated to identifying emerging global trends.

2018

That year, driven by our growth, we launched coreDevX Labs. coreDevX’s Innovation and Technology Exploration Division is the foundation of our future growth.

2019

We opened our next TechHunter offices in Berlin and began sending our top engineers abroad for further training. We started primarily in Germany, and later repeated the initiative in Tel Aviv, Israel.

2019

Armed with this new knowledge and acting early, we established the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence divisions at coreDevX—both of which were launched under the umbrella of coreDevX Labs—and began offering these new services to specific industries.

2019

Our first participation in exhibitions on data science applied to the mining industry, as a success story presented at the KNIME Summit 2019 in Berlin, Germany

2020

We faced the pandemic and embarked on our journey into the world of remote work. Thanks to our infrastructure and the quality of our services, we came through this difficult period stronger than ever.

2021

With our sights set on the company’s continued growth and the pandemic slowly beginning to subside, we moved to a larger, better-located office—this time on the 7th floor of 1707 Av. Los Leones, our new, spacious headquarters.

2022

Committed to providing better service, we launched an aggressive infrastructure investment strategy, which has resulted in steady growth in Santiago and other regions. Today, we are a hybrid in-person/remote company, with 50% of our employees in other regions working remotely.

2023

Now in its 10th year, coreDevX has established itself as a rapidly growing company, with more than 30 employees throughout Chile and a dedicated presence focused on ongoing technological exploration in the United States, Germany, and Israel. We remain true to our founding vision of being both an engineering boutique and a center for applied IT research.

2025

In April 2025, we made the largest investment in coreDevX’s history: the opening of our brand-new Advanced Technologies Laboratory (LABTAV). More than 500 square meters dedicated to researching and applying cutting-edge technologies such as photonics, analog computing, quantum machine learning (QML), post-quantum cryptography (PQC), and other frontier technologies.

2026

Twelve years after its founding, coreDevX is launching a division specializing in aerospace and defense, focused on providing software solutions for satellite and ground-based platforms. Its offering integrates post-quantum encryption, generative AI for information analysis, and situational awareness tools and scenarios. The goal is to address strategic national defense needs and strengthen the security of key companies and organizations in the civilian sector.
