On Monday, January 13, we were invited to showcase our work at one of the booths at the 2025 Future Congress. It was five intense days during which we spoke with various stakeholders from the academic, public, and private sectors about a range of fascinating technological topics, including quantum computing, artificial intelligence, robotics, and the Internet of Things, among many others. Interacting with the public was incredibly interesting; it’s amazing to see how people’s curiosity is sparked when they experience these types of technologies firsthand.

We would like to highlight the talks on quantum computing, particularly the presentation by Dr. Carla Hermann Avigliano, who explained the current and future importance of this scientific field in an accessible and engaging manner.

I also highlighted significant initiatives such as the University of Chile’s newly opened Amazing Quantum quantum optics laboratory, which are undoubtedly helping to steadily advance the development of this ecosystem in Chile and the region.
