Quantum Software Engineer

As a quantum software engineer, your primary responsibility will be to optimize the use of entry-level quantum processors for university education and research, as well as to explore the local and Latin American markets. In addition, your responsibilities will include maintaining each stage of the quantum infrastructure sharing process, as well as developing benchmarking code using both on-premise and cloud systems from providers such as AWS and GCP.

Job Responsibilities

The position is partly responsible for developing training programs and practical applications for entry-level quantum programming solutions. Given the current state of the art in quantum technology, the work primarily involves university-level education for engineers and scientists, as well as the development of educational materials that include research on existing quantum algorithms (Grover, Shor, etc.) and new ones yet to be developed.

We are looking for a computer engineer or physicist with experience in quantum programming using specific languages or frameworks such as Qiskit, NVIDIA's cuQuantum SDK, or others.

Job Requirements

Solid knowledge of quantum programming languages or frameworks such as Qiskit, Q#, Q|SI>, Silq, QML, LIQUi|>, or others that run on quantum simulators or on actual quantum infrastructure—whether in the cloud or on-premises.

A basic understanding of quantum physics is essential for understanding the effects of the behavior of quantum particles or groups of quantum particles that represent computational processes in quantum computing.

The process includes, if you are shortlisted, personal interviews and various technical tests.

  • We're looking for people with a youthful spirit, an open mind, and a positive attitude who can handle the emotional ups and downs that transformational projects bring and demand.
  • We are looking for people who are committed to expanding their knowledge every day, stay up to date on the latest technological trends, and are not afraid to take on new and exciting challenges.
  • Ideal if you write and speak English or another language (though this is not a requirement).

As part of our Gender Gap 0 Policy, it’s a plus if you’re a woman, since we want to increase the number of female engineers at our company. If you also have experience working in multidisciplinary teams, that’s a huge plus for us.

We accept applicants from other cities across the country, preferably in the southern region. In any case, applicants must reside in Chile. This requirement is in place to verify applicants’ eligibility and ensure they are a good fit for the existing team.

Optional

Specific knowledge of quantum computing in nuclear magnetic resonance infrastructure or other quantum computing technologies not mentioned here would be a plus.
