We are looking for a person to work as AWS Data Engineer for the creation and administration of the processes of extraction, transformation and loading of data from different sources of information, implementing technical solutions for it along with the tasks of development and exposure of interfaces (APIs) to obtain and expose access to the processed information. Experience and certifications using the AWS proprietary Stack for these purposes is a prerequisite. With proven experience in this discipline, in addition to real work performed in various tools for these topics.
Job requirements
We are looking for a Technician, Civil Engineer, Computer Engineer or Computer Engineer with practical and demonstrable experience in Data Engineer roles in AWS with Amazon certifications. Specifically you must have knowledge in:
The use of the battery or Stack of AWS solutions for Data Engineer processes such as Snowflake, AWS Lamba, AWS Athena, AWS Step Functions, Amazon Redshift, Amazon S3, Amazon RDS, AWS Glue.
The above tools participate in the processes to perform the Extract, Transform and Load steps from the beginning. It is required to manage data integration tools connected to data sources and warehouses. So part of your tasks will be to integrate existing tools with ETLs or similar tools, manage the operations and implement an interface to make the data usable.
Our ideal candidate should be knowledgeable in database engineering. To understand the data warehousing requirements and design the warehouse architecture, a Data Engineer must have the experience with SQL / NoSQL databases and data mapping. And highly valued if he/she has working knowledge in AWS and the native stack of this Cloud for such purposes.
Whenever a Data Engineer is involved in data modeling, mapping and formatting, experience in data analysis is required. Therefore, a background in this discipline is also a prerequisite. Therefore knowledge in Methodologies or Frameworks such as DAMA 2 or similar are highly valued.
You must have knowledge of scripting languages. If you work with large data sets and complex pipelines, you will need some automation. ETL developers can use scripting to automate small parts of the process. Popular scripting languages for this role are Bash, Python, NodeJS and Perl.
Software engineering experience is highly valued. Experience in programming languages is required. C++ or Java, which are the most commonly used in these tasks. NodeJS can also be used for data representation tools through mobile devices or exposure by APIs.
Data processing systems operate with large amounts of data and include multiple structural elements. As such, you will be responsible for the correct operation of the system, which requires strong analytical thinking and technical and practical problem solving skills.
