Overview
About Quantis QRNG PCIe
The new Quantis QRNG PCle-40M and PCle-240M feature Quantis QRNG IDQ20MC1 chips. They can be used in two modes:
- In entropy source mode, where random bits are generated directly from the physical source.
- In RNG data mode, where random bits are generated following NIST-compliant post-processing.
Chip-level health checks ensure that the QRNG provides the highest level of entropy and that any faults or attacks are detected.
The PCle-40M and PCle-240M come with Quantis software, which includes drivers for various operating systems and EasyQuantis, a graphical interface for reading and displaying random numbers and saving them to a file.
Thanks to the Quantis software, the latest generation of Quantis PCIe cards can be used alongside legacy Quantis PCIe and USB cards.
Quantis QRNG PCIe Certifications
The Quantis PCle-40M and PCle-240M were submitted to the NIST-compliant test suite and successfully passed NIST SP800-22 and SP800-90B, as well as the Dieharder statistical tests.
1D Quantique is also working with partner laboratories in Germany on a Common Criteria certification for the Quantis QRNG chips integrated into the PCIe-40M and PCIe-240M.
For a wider range of certifications, see the Quantis QRNG USB, which has been certified by several reputable organizations.
