Ignacio Meléndez
Chief Innovation Officer
When I was a teenager, I took a programming workshop at my school, honestly just to play video games. However, I soon realized how much fun programming is and the tremendous impact one person can have by developing software using a simple desktop computer.
Since then, I have been professionally involved in the world of technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship for over 15 years. I have held various roles—both technical and strategic—in the design of digital products for a range of sectors, including finance, education, and industry, among others.
One thing I really enjoy is constantly learning new subjects while sharing my knowledge. I’ve been able to do this as a university professor of Innovation and Technology, where I strive to help students achieve their academic and professional goals. I also serve as a mentor to entrepreneurs and startups, offering them advice and support so they can overcome the challenges they face in this dynamic environment.
In recent years, I have been researching how technology and innovation ecosystems can help executives develop businesses that fully meet challenging sustainability goals. I believe this is a very important issue, not only for the present but also for the success of future generations.
