ROS Engineer

We are looking for a Robot Operating System Engineer to work on programming tasks using ROS version 2 across various types of platforms, including both ground-based and aerial vehicles. The candidate must have proven experience in programming and using ROS, as well as with ROS ecosystem tools such as Gazebo, Foxglove Studio, Rviz, Webviz, and others.

Job Responsibilities

The position involves developing code and programming within the ROS 2 framework as part of a multidisciplinary team working on projects involving robotic arms and robotic systems, with a focus on improving existing or new robotic installations.
We are seeking a ROS programming engineer who can understand, modify, and improve robotic routines using tools from the ROS 2 framework via Python, with Ubuntu as the base operating system.

Job Requirements

Programming skills in Python and experience using ROS in its Noetic Ninjemys, Humble Hawksbill, or Iron Irwini versions. Must have hands-on experience programming nodes using computer vision components and various sensors. Experience with training models such as Tutlebot 4 or similar ROS Bot-class models is a plus.
If you are shortlisted, the process includes in-person interviews and various technical tests.

  • We're looking for people with a youthful spirit, an open mind, and a positive attitude who can handle the emotional ups and downs that transformational projects bring and demand.
  • We are looking for people who are committed to expanding their knowledge every day, stay up to date on the latest technological trends, and are not afraid to take on new and exciting challenges.
  • Ideal if you write and speak English or another language (though this is not a requirement).

As part of our Zero Gender Gap Policy, it’s a plus if you’re a woman, since we want to increase the number of female engineers in our company. If you also have experience working in multidisciplinary teams, that’s a huge plus for us.
We welcome applicants from other cities across the country, preferably in the southern region. In any case, residency in Chile is required. This is necessary to verify candidates and ensure they are a good fit for the existing team.

Optional

Specific knowledge of products or solutions not mentioned here that would assist you in your daily work—such as experience with 3D printing or stepper motor control—or any other knowledge related to or complementary to the duties of a robotics engineer would be a plus.
